Fiji discount

Captain Cook Cruises is cutting 40 per cent off the cost of selected seven-night cruises in Fiji until the end of March. Bookings must be made by the end of September.

The discount cuts the starting price to $1562 a person, twin share, including all meals and shore activities.

Nile holiday

An 11-night Egypt holiday featuring a seven-night Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan on an eight-cabin motor sailer and four nights in Cairo with local touring has been discounted 40 per cent by Icon Holidays for departures in June, reducing the price to $3370 a person, twin share.

This doesn't include the cost of travel from Australia to Egypt.

QM2 offer

Cunard has put another sector of Queen Mary 2's 2009 world voyage on sale in Australia at reduced prices.

The 11-night sailing from Sydney to Hong Kong by way of Yokohama, the port of Tokyo, leaves on February 26. Cruise Express says fares are about half the published rate, beginning at $2630 a person, twin share, in an inside cabin and $3000 a person outside.

Cross the Tasman

P&O Cruises has scheduled a Pacific Sun cruise to New Zealand in early December, starting in Melbourne and ending in Brisbane.

The ship will call in at Tasmania before crossing the Tasman on the sole P&O sailing from Melbourne this year.

Fares for 17 nights begin at $2195 a person, twin share, including a flight from Brisbane to Melbourne at the end of the cruise. Phone 132 469.
